Has the word "Liberal" become a euphemism for Communist?

nah, it's just the far right wackos who throw mud in hopes of it sticking, and american history is full of this type of attitude. Remember back when joseph macarthy had all those hearings in the commie witch hunt of the 50's? yeah, well, ol' joe made some outlandish claims, proved to be false, and then had a mental breakdown and was not reelected. Today, we have a bunch of macarthy wannabes, calling liberals every name in the book: commie, fascist, socialist. It's all a weak attempt to garner attention, but the right fails to see macarthy got attention, too, and now his name is synonymous with fanaticism.
