Proposition 8 in California...?

I am voting no as well, but I just wanted to respond to Royal's question. The separation between church and state is in the first amendment, which states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." By voting with your Christian views, using the Bible as evidence, you are in effect helping to establish a religion of state because you are imposing your Christian beliefs upon other people. Also, by voting with your religious views, you are abridging the rights of others to practice their religion (the free exercise clause).
