What is an fsb, chipset. yada yada?

Can someone please explain to me in semi simple terms(i am not dumb but i am also 14) the architecture of a pc? Like what connects what and why and what do the speeds and terms mean? like what is signicant about the speed of the fsb? or what is the purpose of the northbride and southbridge. i want to build a computer but i want to get my facts straight first. i know an fsb connects the porccesor to the northbridge which connects to the memory. but whats the point of having a 2.2 ghz processor if your fsb operates slower? dont just link me to a site. give me a deatailed explanation of all the components too.
