How do you deal with a bigot in the work place?

First off, I would have ignored him. Sometimes when people like that get a rise out of someone they continue. That is too bad that you are almost to the point of dropping the project. I think that if it had been me, seeing that I did not care for this particular guy in the first place, I would of had to decline the job. Even though it would have meant the possibility of more money. Sounds like it was all brownie points for him anyway. I would recommend that you just finish with the project, using your own thoughts the way that you see fit, and make this a lesson for you for the future. Good luck.
