I just read the Beowulf story in depth. I have one opinion question? Anyone?

I would say it's just more of a poem than a story about a journey. Based on the time it was written, it was written to provide entertainment for the Scandinavians. It was supposed to be based off the war between the Swedes and the Geats, which was set in the time of the famed King Erik. I believe in reincarnation, and I remember living in Sweden in approximately 645, give or take 5 years. I remember Anund's reign and he was not very welcomed in Sweden at the time. He was a bit egocentric. It's amazing what you can do with a memory and extensive research.
