Sounds to me like she just needs love, which you are giving her. Just give her time, I rescued an abused Pit and she was the same way, she is much much better now, just takes time. Get mad at her and you will set the both of you back for months, so just show her all the love you can. It makes them feel as good as it makes us feel, so that's all it takes really.
