Question about Lawyers?

I know you have to go to school for 7 years to become a lawyer. Can you get your bachlores in anything you want? Is it hard to get into Law school? is law school hard? The bar? What kind of person do you need to be for this field. what are the average earnings for just a small lawyer not somone defending OJ. Im just confused and really need any advice you can give me. thanks
