Guys and girls: would you read a book about s?

i personally have nothing against them, but many of my friends refused to critique my book because the two main characters are gay lovers. i did not intend for them to be gay, but as I was writing the story, it just... happened. and the story doesn't focus on their romantic relationship; but more of their struggle with love and prosperity.
